We are really proud to say that our pupils’ amazing artwork was recently on show at Mansfield Central Library, as part of the ‘I Am An Artist’ exhibition.
This brilliant project, funded by Arts Council England, was set up to help people who may not always feel included in the world of art. This includes older people, people living with dementia, neurodivergent families, specialist schools, and others. The idea is to help everyone feel like they can be an artist and enjoy being creative.
Five professional artists worked with different groups from across the county to create artwork together. The theme was based on “place” – where we live and what it means to us. The end result is a beautiful and thoughtful collection, and we’re so pleased our pupils had the chance to be part of it.
The exhibition celebrates teamwork and shows just how powerful and joyful making art together can be. A big well done to all our young artists – we’re so proud of you!
